Robern Vanities - Uplift Suite showing Deep Vanity, Uplift Cabinet, and Pendant Lighting
2010
As a part of the Robern New Product Development team, I was involved in the upfront needs finding and initial design specification for the vanity product in 2009. New to the Robern company, the bath vanity system was designed as a series of wall hung modular drawers that accommodate a variety of sink mounting options. I also designed specialized accessories for the drawer interiors, such as a hairdryer holder with integrated cord management and built-in electric outlets.
There were many spacial and component utilization challenges in this modular system. Available is a variety of widths, depths, and with a lit drawer pull option, it was a focus to provide maximum storage space for the user, while developing a system that efficiently reuse component parts.
Conveying the offerings to consumers, architects and interior designers was also a challenge. I was involved in imagining and sketching out web interaction designs for costumer education and ordering.
The vanity is shown here with the Uplift Mirrored Cabinet and Pendant Lights. More information on those products can be found in successive slides.
